Prices are for one pet on a single colour or blended background.

For two or more pets on the same canvas add 20% per pet. I am essentially painting extra portraits and it may take some time to organise the photos into a suitable composition. It is not always straightforward to place separate photos together, particularly if they are taken from different angles and the lighting is completely different. For this reason a range of photos is needed to see which ones may work together. This option is not available for the smaller canvas sizes.

Head and shoulders portraits generally work best for my style of work because they fill the frame and look great with plain or blended backgrounds. Full bodied portraits actually take a lot longer to paint and depending on the photo, if the animal does not fill the picture frame then a background may be needed. Having said that, I generally don’t paint backgrounds because of the extra time involved and my preference is to paint the animal on plain or two toned backgrounds. If it is something that you really want then I may consider something simple. Please add at least 20% to the listed prices.

The quality of a painting will depend on the quality of the photos I work from. Photos need to be in sharp focus and a high enough resolution that I can zoom in closely to capture the details. Photos taken with natural light are preferable. If a photo is of poor quality then I may decline the commission because it will be time consuming to paint and it may ultimately end up in the trash and I have lost precious time and resources.

If there is a particular size that you would like that is not listed then I am happy to provide a separate quote. I can paint in all canvas sizes.

The materials I use are of professional quality – the colours are lightfast and richly pigmented and painted on either thick or thin gallery wrapped canvas frames or wooden panel boards. My preference is to paint on the wooden panels but not all the sizes are available. All the sides are painted and the finished work will be ready to hang on the wall with the hardware attached.

A 30% non refundable deposit is required upon placement of your order with the balance to be paid upon completion.
