Doug, Great Dane x Bull Mastiff

“Doug’s mother was seized by the RSPCA from a neglectful owner in Albany while she was pregnant. 6 Puppies were born in the RSPCA and went out for foster. My girlfriend fostered Doug from the age of 8 weeks. There was a pending court case around the RSPCA gaining legal ownership of the puppies and once that came through we were able to adopt him. We are told when he was first born he got a little too close to his mother’s food bowl and she gave him a nasty nip on the top of his head. This is now his little signature scar that has grown with him.
He is an extremely well natured dog. A calm soul that just wants to be with/on top of his humans at all times. He now weighs 40kgs but still believe’s he’s small enough to be a lap dog”.
